Additions to the AHSGR Wiesenmuller Map

Alexander Muth provided additions to the AHSGR map in 1999. Alexander was born in Wiesenmuller on 30 March 1925. He now lives in Germany. He is a second cousin to Ruth Muth Grenard who generously gave us her correspondence with him.

In 1997 Alexander Jekel also provided additions to this map. Alexander Jekel was born 4 Aug 1933 in Wiesenmuller. He is the son of Georg Heinrich Jekel (born 14 Jan 1903 in Wiesenmuller) - the s/o Friedrich Jekel (born about 1875 in Wiesenmuller and died 31 Aug 1948 in Altai). Friedrich Jekel married Katharina Busch (who died 1954 at age 82). Alexander Jekel married Hilde Schneider and they have had 5 children - 4 still living: Hilde Schneider is the daughter of Schneider and his wife Maria (nee Busch) who was born 13 Feb 1913 in Ramushok and died 8 Feb 1996. Schneider had 6 siblings: August, Gottfried, Heinrich, Sander, Jakob and Amalie. Hilde's family lived in the first block north of the church in the 1st, 2nd or 3rd street in Wiesenmuller. In 1958 Alexander and his family returned to Wiesenmuller, but were told by the authorities that they could not live there. At that time there were at least 2 older men and their families who were originally from Wiesenmuller who had been allowed to live there: Stuckert and Jakob Krum. Alexander was allowed only to spend one night in the village in 1958. He returned in 1974 and again was turned away. In 1993 Alexander's son visited the village.
